Pastel weddings

Pastel weddings by manfler, the family wedding florist in Crete since 1978: three weddings in Santorini and Crete, newest first, each with its venue, planner and photographer.

A woman in a heavily beaded, sheer-sleeved gown and a jewelled tiara leans over a green velvet chair at a long wedding table at iIslet in Santorini, Greece. Low tables of mixed flowers in plum, coral and blush, including allium, dahlias and gladioli, fill the foreground, while tall floral installations and crystal chandeliers glow above the room. Pillar candles and frosted glass globes add warm light to the soft, neutral setting.

A bride and groom share a tender forehead-to-forehead embrace in front of a pale wooden door in a peach-washed building in Greece, framed by tall floral installations of pink roses, pale blue hydrangeas, white dahlias and delphiniums with candles in glass cylinders at their feet. The groom wears a dark suit and the bride a white gown with a lace-sleeved, off-the-shoulder bodice and a pearl-studded headband, styled as a wedding photograph.

Two tall, cascading mounds of pink hydrangeas and deep rose-red blooms flank a small gold-legged table holding a cross, candles and a glass carafe, all set on a tiered orange stage on a green lawn at Crete Golf Club in Crete, Greece. Smaller low clusters of hot pink roses and pale pink hydrangeas sit at the stage's front corners, and in the warm late-afternoon light, the whole wedding ceremony setup glows against the dry brown hills behind.
